Troubleshooting BrakeRite Actuator Draining Breakaway Battery

Question:
So on my electric trailer brakes, which is a BrakeRite system on a Dexter axle. my pump stays on till battery is dead, wondering what to check or where to start diagnostics?

Hey Brad, this most likely is due to an issue with the 12 volt accessory circuit that runs to the actuator for it to draw power from. If it's not connected to a 12 volt accessory circuit it is possible that it can drain your breakaway battery since that's the same circuit that charges it. Check that and let me know what you find.
