Question:
Hi, I have a 2010 Ford E450 mobility bus. The frame is standard ford chassis frame where bolts for a hitch would be about 39 inches apart. I have 2 requests: 1. My frame rails stop about 12 inches in front of the bumper there are additional frame supports mounted for the bumper. If I want to put a bolt a hitch into my frame that extends back about 12 inches from the furthest back bolt, do you have options? 2. My bus has a 4 pin/spade connector with brake lights wiring brown, white, yellow, green and I confirmed they are for trailer lights. However, the 4 flat spades on the connector are spaced in a square about 1/2 inch apart. This is not compatible with the Hopkins Part Number: HM11140665 which is a wide rectangle that I used on my Ford E150 with the tow package. Do you have an idea of custom lighting plug that I can plug directly into this plug and run to a trailer? would be nice! The plug looks like this on top of .

Hi Mark; we don't have a hitch or wiring specifically for the E-450 but you can see if the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75703 will fit. I have attached the full dimensions below so you can compare those to what you have on your frame to see if it will fit. If it doesn't match up the only option is to add a universal weld-on hitch like # 41990-07.
If the connector on the # HM11140665 doesn't match the connector you have there are no other custom wiring harnesses available. The # C56020 plugs in behind the tail lights on a regular Ford Van but I can't say for sure it will work on the mobility bus. If you tested that connector and have power you could always cut it off and splice in # HM48044 to add a 4-way.

Hi Mark, did you have a chance to compare the dimensions of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch to your frame to see if it fits? I'm curious to know if you found a solution for the wiring connector as well, since it could help others facing similar challenges with their mobility buses.
