Is BrandMotion Parking Sensor Commercial Kit Harness Long Enough For 14 Foot Box Trucks?

Question:

I run a fleet of 14-foot box trucks for deliveries. Will the harness reach from the rear bumper all the way to the cab?

Marcus, yes, the included display harness for the Commercial Parking Sensor Kit # BM39FR is about 49 feet long while the ECU plug in cable is about 7-1/2 feet long, long enough for box trucks and small shuttles without splicing. You will actually have quite a bit of leftover harness that you can zip tie out of the way.

Thanks, Andrew. With that much extra harness, is there any risk of interference or weak signal if I just coil it up and zip tie it under the box?

@Marcus The good news is the extra harness length won’t affect the signal strength - it’s shielded wiring designed for longer vehicles. Just avoid coiling it super tight; instead, loop it loosely and zip tie it along the frame or underbody so it doesn’t rub or pinch. Do you plan to install these across your whole fleet, or are you trying it out on a single truck first?
