Recommended Onan Generator for 2021 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5TSTS

Question:
Hello, We are looking for an Onan generator for a 2021 Jayco HT 28.5 RSTS fifth wheel, installed in Prescott, Az. 86301. It has 1 A/C unit, do you recommend a 4000 watt or 5500 Watt? Propane Fuel. I see your list of installers. Thanks!

Hi Joe; since you want the propane version I would get the Cummins Onan Quiet Series Onboard RV Generator - 5,500 Watts # CM62ZR you were looking at. The smaller propane model is rated for a single 13,500 Btu AC while this one can handle two 15,000 Btu units. That is somewhat dependent on the AC unit itself but you won't have to worry about it with the larger generator. You likely have a 15k on there anyway and this gives you room to grow with another AC if you decide to add one, plus power for whatever else you might need.
Any trips coming up with your 5th wheel before the end of summer?
