The Retrax PowertraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover - Powered - Aluminum - Matte Black # RT90234 for your 2012 Ram 1500 with 5-1/2' bed and the RamBox only comes in the matte black finish. With that said, once it is in your possession, there is no reason you couldn't paint it, or have it painted, whatever color you want.

Speaking of which, what color are you wanting? Are you trying to color match it to your truck?

Yes I am thinking to color match a tonneau cover for my Ram. I guess should have asked, as it rolls up would it scratch paint or is there separation between the slats?

@ToddP There isn't really any separation between the slats, but you would probably want to completely disassemble the rolling cover to paint each slat individually. Skip to the 1 minute 28 seconds mark in the included video and you can see the front of the cover kind of drop down a little. This would keep it from getting scratched. So in short, it's doable. But it isn't going to be easy.
