Hi Addison!

I am a fan of the Redarc controllers and prefer them over all the others currently on the market, so I think they are a great choice! You didn't mention which one you were looking at, so I have both the Liberty and Elite included below.

Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness - Dash Knob - Proportional # RED52VR
Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller - Dash Knob - Off-Road Mode - Up to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR

As to the wiring you asked about, they are exactly the same as you mentioned. Both of the aforementioned controllers come with pigtails that have blunt cut wires to make the install nice and easy as well.

White - Ground
Black - 12V Power
Blue - Trailer Brakes Output
Red - Brake/Stop Light Switch

Do you know where you want to mount the knob in your Silverado?
