Question:
I have a 1986 GMC 2500 that was my dads. I have this brake controller in my 2008 GMC dually and have been really pleased with it. Will this controller wire into my dads old truck, I need to remove the old Tekonsha hydraulic style and rewire for a new controller

Hey Clifton! The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 will work in your dads old truck as well. The brake controller is compatible with any vehicle with a 7-way. If you don't have wiring on the truck you will need to add 4-way using # C55312 and then upgrade to a 7-way using # ETBC7.
Are you getting a 2nd P3 or swapping it back and forth between vehicles? If you're swapping it back and forth you can pick up the # 20127 to add to the older truck along with an extra mounting bracket # TK5906 so you can easily switch back and forth.

Thanks for the info. As soon as I can afford to purchase a new controller I will be getting one. Still working the kinks out of the fuel and carb. I appreciate the advice and the help.
