What Option do I Have to Replace My Dometic 9100 Motor # 3109581.003 on My 2002 Itasca Horizon?

Hello, I have a 2002 Itasca Horizon motorhome with an apparent same year AandE one step model 12 volt electric awning, with a bad motor that needs to be replaced. The inop motor is a Globe Motors product with a Dometic part 3109581.003. Both Globe Motors and Dometic didn’t have an option as to replacing or retrofitting my bad motor. Do you have an option as to a replacement for my bad motor. The rest of the awning components are operational. I thank you in advance for any assistance. Steeart

Hello Bobby,
I do have an option for you, but I do not have a motor that will work as a replacement.
The option that we have that will work is to convert your Dometic 9100 series awning to a solera awning by completely swapping out the arms, this way you can keep all your good working components.
You will want one of the following:
- White: Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434724
- Black: Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434723
Both of the above kits are 69" arms, so you will just want to make sure that you have the 69" required space on your Itasca Horizon. I am very sorry that we do not have just a motor replacement, I am sure this is not the answer you were hoping for.
