How to Deactivate 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 2018 Toyota Tacoma 7-Way
Updated 05/20/2025 | Published 05/16/2025 >
Question:
I had a 2018 Tacoma in which I pulled the trailer battery charge signal fuse since the alternator was not set up for lithium in the TT. Im not interested in a DC-DC charger since I have 300W of solar on the top of the TT that works fine. I switched to a 2022 Silverado 1500 but cannot find the same signal fuse to do this again for the new truck. Any thoughts?

Hey Scott, if you can't find the fuse you could simply cut the wire that is ran to the 1:00 position of the 7-way and then tape it up on the vehicle side and you'd accomplish the same thing.

Found it. It is the 30 amp fuse #63 on a 2022 Silverado 1500 RST. As you face the truck it is in the fuse box located on the left hand side.
