Can 2020 Jayco North Point 377RLBH With ST255/85R16 Tires Switch to 215/75R17.5

Question:
I am looking to replace the Goodyear ST255/85R16 tires on my 2020 Jayco North point 377RLBH. I recently had 3 tires fail on a 1200 mile trip. The issue is no one carries this size tire. I was able to find 2 and one of those was new but 5 years old. I was hoping to switch to a 17.5 inch rim. Is the Cooper Work Series LH28FR an option?

Hey Brett! It is possible to switch to the Cooper Work Series 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Wheel # LH28FR. The tire is actually a bit smaller so wheel well clearance won't be an issue. Keep in mind, it will lower your trailer approximately 1-1/2" so the overall clearance underneath will be less. With a max load of 4,805 lbs at 123 psi capacity won't be an issue so as long as you have an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern you're set.

Hey Brett, did switching to the Cooper Work Series tire and 17.5-inch rim work out for your Jayco? I'm curious to know if the change helped with your tire issues, as it could give others confidence in making similar upgrades.
