Hello, I have a 12 K Reese Dual Cam Weight Distribution Hitch. MFR. Part 66084. We suffered a fire with our travel trailer. The hitch was not damaged. We would like to re use for our new trailer. We are in need of a user manual so we can re install to manufacture recommendations. Would you be able to help. Thank you Kindly Al Marino

Hey, Al. Really sorry to hear that happened to your trailer. I do have a copy of the instructions for the 66084 Reese Dual Cam part # RP66084. You will find it linked below in the "featured help information" section.

That said, you do want to be careful reusing a WD hitch that has been in a fire. If the spring bars were exposed to high temperature it could have messed with the composition/strength/flexibility of the steel bars. If it was just a small fire near the rear of the trailer you should be good. But if like the whole thing burned and the WD hitch was exposed to high heat from flames I would highly encourage you to get a whole new hitch. There is just too much unknown involved in these scenarios.

I remember a gentlemen I helped about a year ago had a WD hitch and the whole storage facility burned down along with the camper. The WD hitch and tongue remained and still looked ok but knowing the whole thing was probably engulfed in flames at some point we had to recommend replacing the WD hitch and I believe it was covered by insurance.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hey, Al. I'm glad I could provide the instructions for your Reese Dual Cam Hitch. Did you decide to reuse the hitch, or are you considering getting a new one after the fire? Your experience could really help others facing similar situations.
