Hey Nadine! As long as the crossbar spread on your 2016 Acura MDX is 23-5/8" - 36-7/8" the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629807 will fit. If you want to know if you can open your rear hatch there must be at least 51-1/4" between the front crossbar and the line where the roof and hatch meet. I can't imagine it not fitting but it is always best to measure just to be sure.

Hey Nadine, did you get a chance to measure the crossbar spread on your MDX for the Thule Motion XT cargo box? It’d be great to hear if the fit and hatch clearance worked out. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same setup.
