Hello Randall,
When picking out the correct trunnion bars to go with your Reese 58167 weight distribution head it is most important to be as close to the loaded tongue weight as possible. Your tongue weight will typically fall between 10-15% of the overall trailer weight. You mentioned a weight capacity of 9K, but I think you are referring to how much the F150 can pull. The best way to find out your trailers tongue weight is to load up the trailer as you normally would and use something like the Big Truck Big RV Tongue Weight Scale # BTBRV44FR to get the most accurate reading.
Here is the different bars to choose from once you figure out your tongue weight:
- 400 - 800 pounds: # RP22225
- 600 - 1,200 pounds: # RP66009
- 800 - 1,500 pounds: # RP58369
- 1,100 - 1,700 pounds: # 66010
You mentioned that you have the head, do you have all the other parts besides the spring bars?

Hey Randall, were you able to check your trailer’s loaded tongue weight with the scale? Knowing that number should make it easier to match the right trunnion bars for your Reese 58167 head. Your update could help others trying to dial in their setup too.
