Question:

I have a 2020 Jeep gladiator rubicon. Launch edition. It has led lights. Ive been reading QandA.s . Im wanting to flat tow the Jeep. Im looking at the Hopkins custom tail lights wiring kit. Hm39vr Says it works with my jeep. But Ive read in qandas that if the brake lights come with ignition off they might interfere with the turn signals. Can you help me figure out what I need. I dont want cut the harness. Thanks

Hello Jim,

I can most definitely help you with what you need. You are right, the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM39VR is the correct wiring for your 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Then you are also going to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751497 to get your brake lights working correctly with the braking system.

Are you a seasoned flat tower setting up a new car, or are you new to the flat tow world? I attached a great help article about all the needed flat towing components for you to take a look at, it's a great read whether you are seasoned or new. Do you have any other flat towing components? If you need any other suggestions just say the word.

Hey Jim, how did things go with the Hopkins wiring kit and the Roadmaster stop light switch on your Gladiator? Did that setup keep your brake and turn signals working the way you wanted while towing? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar Jeep.
