Is There More than One Way to Install Draw Tite Hitch on 2020 BMW X5

Question:

Question on installing Draw Tite hidden hitch on 2020 BMW X5. I notice in some of the install videos the tech might remove the tail lights to remove the bumper facia while another tech may not remove the taillights and just removes the facia at the lowest point after removing the reflectors just above the bumper cover? Is this just a personal preference depending on the tech or is one way more preferred?

Hey Mario, that's an interesting observation but yes it is a personal preference thing. Sometimes our guys find easier or quicker way to install hitches like the Draw Tite part # 76288 that fits your 2020 BMW X5. Other times they do extra steps just to make the footage easier to see. So they might remove more panels than needed so that it gives a better viewing angle of where the action is taking place. If you happen to like the process of one video better than the other definitely go with the route you think makes more sense for you.

What were you planning to use the hitch for?

Thank you for the explanation. I have a small utility trailer that I use to occasionally take trash and lawn debris to a local recycling center. I no longer have a vehicle with a tow hitch so need to install one on this 2020 bmw x5

@MarioA No prob! You'll want trailer wiring too which we have the Curt # C59236 as a fit. This is a universal style kit but we had chance to install it on a 2022 X5 so I attached a link to an install video that will walk you through install process.
