Troubleshooting An Everchill Electric Cooler That Keeps Displaying 9v And Shutting Off

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/01/2025

Question:

My Everchill cooler EV57FR no longer operates on 12V. When I plug it in it displays 12V but quickly goes to 9V. I have tried it on several 12V outlets on different vehicles and it gives the same reading. I also ordered a new power cord but same results. My assumption is the inverter is no longer functioning correctly. Is there are replacement?

Hey Scott,

It definitely sounds like something is wrong internally with your Everchill Electric Cooler # EV57FR. The display showing 9v means that it's not getting enough voltage to properly operate. Since you've tested with multiple power sources I think it's safe to say that the issue lies with the cooler itself. Replacement parts for this cooler are only available through the manufacturer so you'll want to reach out to Lippert Components to get it all sorted out.

If I can help you with anything else just let me know.
