Question:

Id like to use my square bar Thule racks on my ARE truck cap with Yakima rails. Ive seen your recommendations but they all seem to be to fit the Aero Wingbars or the ProBar EVO but not a square bar.

Hey Tom, if the Thule square bars you have are the current ones that have a channel that runs along the bottom of them the components you need are the fit kit part # THKIT3101 and the feet part # TH460R. If the bars don't have the bottom slot and are therefore the older style we don't have a solution and you'd need new bars like the part # THTP54 which is 54 inches long part # THTB60 which is 60 inches.

Thanks for the reply, it was very helpful. Now to expand on it a bit... I have an ARE truck cap with Yakima rails. You provided the info on what I need to mount Thule square bars on the rails. So this is what I really want to do. I want to mount a single bar on the truck cap and another single bar on the cab of my 2024 Ranger. This will make it easier to carry a canoe. I have load stops for Thule square bars so that would be a nice way to go but I don't see where I can buy the Thule mounting parts in anything other than a set of four. It appears that I can get Yakima mounting hardware in sets of two. I'm not sure if this is correct. If I go Thule can I get the THKIT3101 and the TH460R for a single bar on the cap. Can I get the 710501 foot and the 145324 clip for just one bar on the cab? Or if I go Yakima is there a setup where I can mount a single round bar on the cap and single round bar on the cab? I'm trying not to have to spend money on parts I'll never use. Thanks, Tom

@Tom So the Thule and Yakima fit kits are all sold in the kits they are sold in without ability to get a smaller sets. I wish there was an easy way to do single bar kits but they have to be pieced together and the fit kits aren't able to be split up. So you can do individual Thule feet like with the part # TH69FQ and the # 7523036002B with the cover # 852-2382001 but the fit kits are all sold as fours.
