Recommended Rear And Side Camera System For A 2014 Ford E-150 Extended Van

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/30/2024

Question:

I have a 2014 Ford 150 extended van for business. It currently has an after-market backup camera installed with a mirror monitor. I would like to replace that with a larger monitor and, if possible , adding the two cameras for when blinkers are on to increase safety when changing lanes. I currently have a similar system on a 37foot Class A, but not sure if this can be done on an extended van. If not this, other suggestions? kh

Hi K,

The Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-062710 is going to be the best option we currently offer for this kind of setup. This will include a 7" monitor to make viewing your cameras much easier. It does come with a fourth camera, which is more than you really need but there isn't a 3-camera kit currently available. You can hang onto the fourth camera as a backup or sell it to recoup some of the cost.

You'll need to tie this into your trailer wiring to get the turn signal triggers and connect power to the running light circuit so that the camera only has power when your lights are on and won't drain the battery.

Hey K, how did the Rear View Safety camera system work out on your Ford van? Were you able to get the turn signal cameras tied into the wiring the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others looking to add side cameras for lane changes.
