Hello i am looking for a roof rack for my 2018 chevy cruze sedan with no existing rail or crossbars. main use is for a kayak.

Hi Brian; if you're looking for a cost effective roof rack that you will only install when you carry your kayak I recommend the Inno Aero Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # IN73BR. This uses aero bars so it will work with any of your standard kayak carriers like the # e98878.
If you plan to keep the roof rack on all the time then I would get the Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack # Y32QB instead. This comes with the Yakima JetStream bars which are extremely quiet. It is worth the investment to keep the road noise down if you don't want to take the rack off when you're not using it.
