Can The Bulldog Trailer Jack # BD151401 Replace A 30+ Year Old Older 150-Series Model Bulldog Jack

Updated 10/15/2024 | Published 10/13/2024

Question:

I have an old Bulldog Jack that has seized…the top wind handle will no longer turn. I have included a picture of the label on the jack. Is the snapring mount the same as the 30+ year old model? I would like to mount the new jack on the old bracket if it will fit.

Hey Russell,

If your current pipe mount bracket attached to the frame has an outer diameter of 2-1/4" then the Bulldog Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # BD151401 would be a compatible fit.

Kevin, this is a welded L-bracket swivel model, not a pipe mount. Do I need to remove the snap ring in order to get a measurement?

@RussellB Yeah, I'm just referring to the pipe portion that sticks out from the frame bracket that the jack would slide onto and be held in place with the snap ring. If that pipe has an outer diameter of 2-1/4 then the # BD151401 would be compatible. You should be able to get a tape measure to one side without having to remove the jack.
