Where Does White Wire Attach When Installation Tekonsha Primus IQ on 2015 Toyota Tundra
Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/03/2024 >
Question:
I’m installing the Primus IQ brake control to my 2015 Tundra. The harness has a white wire separate from the other wires with a ring connector at the end. Where do I attach that white wire? Thanks

Hello Steven; the white wire on your # TK90160 wiring harness is the ground wire. You need to attach it to a clean, bare-metal surface. Take a look at the installation video from a Prodigy P2 on a Tacoma I attached below. This will give you a good idea of what you need to do on your Tundra. You will see them attach the ground wire starting at the 1 minute mark.

Hey Steven, how did things go grounding the white wire for your Primus IQ brake controller on your Tundra? Did the video help make the process clearer? Your update could make it easier for others wiring the same controller.
