Question:
I want to get a brake control for me 2013 Chevy Tahoe. I am getting some confusing info. I had a tekonsha prodigy for a dodge ram. I like the simplicity. Is amperage a factor? The Tahoe came with tow package.

Daniel, firstly I'd recommend sticking with Tekonsha and using the Prodigy P3 # 90195. Secondly, what do you mean is amperage a factor? This brake controller is a proportional controller which means that your trailer brakes will mimic your tow vehicle's brakes. So, if you slam on the brakes in your vehicle, your trailer brakes will activate with the same intensity; if you brake lightly, your trailer brakes lightly too.
This brake controller will also work with up to 8 braking assemblies, is compatible with electric and EOH brakes, and has an auto leveling feature which lets you mount it at any angle for an easy install.
