Question:

Tekonsha Primus IQ controller, new, hooked up to 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 20A fuse. When not connected to trailer, unit powers up correctly but when manual knob is activated the fuse blows. Every time. Blue wire disconnected, same thing. 12V on red wire when brake pedal depressed.

Sounds like you need a In-Line Circuit Breaker like the 20 Amp item # 9506P. The fuse isn't enough to handle the current for the over-ride button. These are recommended when installing the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller item # TK90160.

Hey, did adding the in-line circuit breaker stop the fuse from blowing when you used the manual knob on your Tekonsha Primus IQ controller? Knowing what happened could really help others troubleshooting the same issue.
