Will Draw-Tite Hitch Fit a 2025 Subaru Forester

Updated 01/27/2026 | Published 08/24/2024

Question:

Hello, I would like to add a trailer hitch to my new 2025 Subaru Forester. Looking at your website I see the etrailer e83ZR, and the Curt C13409 both are compatible with model years 2019 thru 2025. However Draw-tite 76271 only shows compatibility thru 2024 and does not show that it is compatible with the 2025. This seems odd given the other two brands are compatible with 2025. You would think the Draw-tite would also be compatible to the 2025 as well. In searching your site I don’t see a Draw-tite that says it is compatible with 2025. I would prefer the Draw-tite if possible. I’m wondering since most 2025 model vehicles are just coming out perhaps Draw-tite has not yet confirmed compatibility when in fact it could be. Can you confirm whether the Draw-tite 76271 is or is not compatible with my 2025? If not, is there a Draw-tite that is compatible with the 2025 Forester? Thank you for your help! Best Regards Tim

Thanks for reaching out, Tim!

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76271 will fit your 2025 Subaru Forester just fine - they are just behind in their hitch fit confirmations, but since this has the same basic design as the etrailer # e83ZR and Curt # C13409 hitches I can confidently say this will work for you.

What do you plan on using the hitch for? I'd be happy to make some additional recommendations if you need them!

Hey Tim, how did things go with the Draw-Tite hitch on your 2025 Forester? Did it fit as expected alongside the other options you mentioned? Your update could make it easier for others with the same model year.
