Does Curt Trailer Hitch C12298 Fit Any 2010-2014 Subaru Legacy

Question:
I have a 1.25 hitch for my 2012 Subaru Legacy sedan Code: C12298. Can I use this hitch on any 2010-2014 Subaru Legacy or Legacy Outback? It came with the vehicle and I want to put it on another Legacy. After removing the hitch, do I need to put the bolts back or can it go to the new vehicle? Thank you.

Hey Danny,
Yes, you can use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12298 on any 2010-2014 Subaru Legacy, though not Outback. The bolts don't have to go back as they came with the hitch but you should definitely not reuse the hitch bolts or any portion of the hitch mounting hardware as it is a one-time use and re-using it damages its integrity and could be dangerous. So you will need the Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches # RHK.
On that page, just put "C12298" in the "Hitch Item Number" box and you're set.
