I ended up buying a carbon fiber rack after I bought the hanging bike rack. I hear I shouldnt use a hanging bike rack with carbon fiber, so I need to get a different rack.

Some bike rack manufacturers say that you can use an adapter bar like part # TH982XT to carry a carbon fiber bike on a hanging-style rack because the bike isn't technically sitting on the arms, but I personally think it's better to go with a rack that doesn't make any contact with the frame so you don't have to be worried about the quality of your bike being ruined.

I really like the Thule Helium Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH44VR for carbon fiber bikes because it only contacts the wheels, it looks really sleek, and it's really easy to use.
