The yellow wire on the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector # H20046 is for the reverse lights. Depending on how the trailer was wired this could connect to either a yellow wire or purple wire in the junction box. I typically recommend verifying the wire function versus going by colors because while there are standard wiring codes they do not always get wired properly.
Also your Junction Box # 38656 may have labels on the terminals marking the function.
