Will this tire and rim fit my Harbor Freight 1720 trailer that now has 12x5.3 tires with 5 Lug hub

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. It might be possible to upgrade the tires and wheels on your Harbor Freight trailer. This will completely depend on how much extra room you have in the wheel well/fender area.
The 12x5.3 tires are about 5.6" wide and 21.9" in diameter. If we go up to the # LHAX097 ST175/80R13 tires they are 7" wide and 24" in diameter.
Our rule of thumb is that you want at least 3" between the tire and the fender, and at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer. Keeping the measurements above in mind, I suggest you take a look at your fender area and determine if the larger tires will fit. On a lot of trailers, fender placement can limit the options for upgrading tires. In these cases, fenders need to be relocated.
