Will Prodigy RF Brake Controller Work if Brake Controller Pin on 7-Way Doesn't Work

Question:
I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. I am currently not getting power to the trailer brakes through the vehicle end of the 7-prong connector although all other trailer lights connected through the 7-prong are functioning properly. Would the Prodigy RF still be able to to power the trailer brakes in this case?

Hi Jesse,
If the issue is that the brake controller pin/wiring on your 7-way is not functioning, but all other parts are, then yes, you would be able to use the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Brake Controller # TK94FR.
The # TK94FR doesn't require the brake controller output on the 7-way, though it does need the 12 volt pin to be fully functional.
