Question:
I would like to purchase a 5AS16K kit for my 2022 heritage Glen wildwood fifth wheel. I am pulling it with a short bed They are sold without the rotating turret. I need to know which one to buy and where to buy it. Reese refuses to answer the phone and will not respond to emails. The wing set is Lippert 1621. Also I am pulling this Rv with a 2023 super duty Ford short bed. Any help would be appreciated. I am doing this to eliminate the use of an Anderson hitch adaptor and hopefully eliminate some or all of the porpoising due to so much weight behind the axle of the trailer.

The ST200 turret for the # 5AS16K has been discontinued. You may be able to find it still but I wasn't able to when I ran a quick search. At this time, the only Sidewinder we offer that fits the 1621 is the # RP34FR. Also, you aren't hearing from Reese because they're owned by First Brands now. Ever since this change the wait times on the phone are extremely long and many of their parts are gone or on indefinite backorder.
The # RP34FR will help with clearance but it won't do anything for the porpoising. If the offset of the Andersen you have allows for it, or if you switch to a sliding 5th wheel hitch like # BWRVK3270, you could use the # RP78FR which doesn't rotate.
Another thing you might want to consider is adding the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs. These will help absorb road shock to prevent the porpoising while also reducing sway. You can choose from the following based on overslung/underslung and axle capacity:
-SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 3K to 5K - Underslung # TSS-106-40
-SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 3K to 5K - Overslung # TSS-107-40
-SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Overslung # SS26MV
-SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket - Single Axle - 5K to 8K - Underslung # SS33HR

Thank you sir! Good info on the pin box set up. I already have a Ford branded 30 fifth wheel hitch, it’s a drop in puck style. Was not looking to re-hitch again. Do you believe the spring helper kits are more for ride and weight support, rather than helping out the porpoising due to a lack of pin weight. This trailer really should have three axles, there just is way too much weight behind the axles.
