Question:
Good morning. I am looking for a rear camera that I install on my truck. I prefer a camera that would plug into my cigarette lighter like item # RVS-83112, but want a hard wired camera that either plugs into my trailer wiring kit or is powered front the front as it would be hard wired. If this is impossible, my next choice would be item # ASA24YR. My concern is that the display for the wireless option does not get held into place by the cigarette holder and that is where I want to have it mounted. Thanks.

The Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch Camera # RVS-83112 is the only camera that we offer that would have the monitor mount from the 12v outlet, but it's powered by 9v batteries instead of being hardwired. If having the camera be hardwired is an absolute requirement then you'll either have to get a system that replaces the rear view mirror or have a suction cup mounted monitor instead of one that connects to 12v outlet.
The Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless Backup Camera System w Night Vision for Prewired RVs - 4.3" Screen # ASA24YR is for trailers with prewiring already installed so you would need the # ASA84YR instead. The # ASA84YR would be a good option if you're fine with a suction cup mounted monitor. If you want to have the monitor built into the rear view mirror then you could go with a system like the Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System # RVS-776718 instead.
