The first thing you are going to need is a 5th wheel installation kit for your 2014 Ram 1500 with the 5 foot, 7 inch bed. I spoke with my contact at Curt who said that installation kit # C16306-204 will fit your truck.
Since you have the very short bed a slider hitch will not offer enough clearance to allow you to make tight turns without hitting the trailer and truck cab together. Also you would have to remove the tailgate on the truck because there is not enough room for the trailer pin box in the bed without the tailgate getting in the way.
So what you will need is a fixed 5th wheel trailer hitch and a Sidewinder pin box. You will want to look at the trailer pin box for the manufacturer and model number of the pin box. It should be on a plate or sticker. Then with that information we can determine if there is a Sidewinder that will fit using the Sidewinder informational article I have linked.
For a hitch you will need a fixed one that has the capacity for the trailer. For a 16,000 pound capacity hitch I recommend the Reese hitch # RP30047. This is the workhorse of the Reese lineup and it overs a 4-Way pivoting head and dual jaw design for good king pin contact.
If you need a higher capacity hitch we have the Reese 20K hitch # RP30928. This hitch has a 20,000 pound capacity and also features a 4 way pivoting head and dual jaws. Consult the truck owners manual for the capacity of the truck before towing.
If you need in-bed trailer wiring then you can use harness # 41157 which fits trucks that came with a factory 7-Way. I have linked some videos on the hitches and on the wiring for you as well as the Sidewinder article I mentioned.
