I own a 2018 f150 with the factory hitch. Although hitch info says its for vehicles without factory hitch, you stated in Q andA that its o.k. for vehicles with factory hitch. Is there a problem with the step bumper install on factory vs no original hitch? I read somewhere that it is a different bumper bracket setup, and would love to buy this hitch as it matches my trailer weight better....

The Draw-Tite # DT35MR will only fit the 2018 Ford F-150 without the factory hitch. According to Draw-Tite, even if you remove the factory hitch it won't fit. The older Q&A was incorrect and I apologize for the confusion.
The best option for a hitch that will fit along with the factory hitch is the Curt # C26HR. This has a max gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs.
