Question:

I have a battery disconnect on my 2016 Ford Taurus when I tow. Will my tail and directional light work from the RV? I have a Patriot Break set up for assisted breaking on the Taurus. I have been using magnetic mounted break lights.

The lighting coming from your RV isn't tied into the battery of your Taurus so it wouldn't have any effect, especially when using magnetic lights that would plug into the motorhome and be completely separate from the tail light wiring. If you're asking if you can use the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BLU63FR that you were looking at then, no you can not because this kit is designed for specific Pontiac and Chevy models. You would have to use a splice in diode kit, like part # RM-15267, or keep using your magnetic lights.

The Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR does require a functional 12v outlet while the vehicle is off, so you'll need an outlet like part # RM-9332 if you don't already have one ran directly to the battery.
