Question:
Looking for a recommendation for an AC unit for a 14 x 8 cargo trailer with minimal insulation. The trailer is a portable office. Dont necessarily need heat. Roof has supports for the A/C in Place 14 hatch.

We can definitely help set you up. For a 14' x 8' enclosed trailer, I believe a 13,500 BTU unit would be sufficient. I recommend the Advent Air # ACM135. Advent makes a solid AC unit, which will fit perfectly in the 14" hatch on the roof. Keep in mind the roof does need to be between 2-1/2" and 5" thick in order to install this unit.
As far as your controls, you have two options. You can either use a manual distribution box # ACDB, which will put your controls on the ceiling right above your head. Or you can use the # ACRG15 which is controlled with a wall thermostat. The wall thermostat does require a bit more installation, but you can put your controls in a more convenient location if you prefer.
Please note that Advent sells their start capacitors separately # ACMSCKIT. This is highly recommended to go with the AC unit. You also have the option of adding a heat strip # ACMHD. So if you ever decide you want heat, you can easily add this on.
I have linked our review and installation videos below if you want to take a look.
