Can Flat Towing Components for 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 be Installed by DIYer

Hi there! I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 4WD that I want to pull behind a 2017 37’ Coachmen Miranda . Says I have hydraulic disc brakes. I read the items needed, is it best to have the the items professionally installed on my GMC, or is it easy enough a half mechanical person can figure it out? Thanks so much!

Flat towing components like what you mentioned for your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 aren't overly difficult to install but it can be pretty time consuming. So if you are mechanically inclined and have the free time you could definitely handle it yourself like with the base plate kit # RM-3177-3 which fits your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500.
You'd also need the tow bar # RM-676, braking # SM99251, and the lighting diode kit part # RM-15267 and you'd be set.
