Recommended Quieter AC Replacement for a Dometic Duo Therm

Question:

Hi. I have a Dometic Duotherm 15,000 BTU ducted AC circa 2018, p/n B59516.711J0. Looking for a quieter -in replacement with lower startup current. Quieter is the key variable. I think the Furrion FR42PV is the correct choice but I am a bit fuzzy on interfacing that Dometic control box. Best solution for me would be to ditch the flaky Dometic touch panelinch temperature controller completely, but it also controls the furnace. Help?

Don't worry the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # FR42PV you're looking at will work just fine with your existing Dometic setup as this unit comes with a conversion kit to adapt the two.

The Furrion Chill HE is a great choice because these do tend to run quieter and they have a built in start capacitor which will offer an extra boost to help jump-start the AC when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power.
