Could 4-Way of Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring Kit # HM56304 be Cut Off and Wire to 6-Way

I ordered the Hopkins wiring kit HM56304 for a 2014 Honda CRV, I have a power cord that is a 7 to 6 pole, could the end of the 4 wires that come from tis wiring kit be cut off and connected to the 6 pole side?
