Your 2008 Nissan Maxima is going to require the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11264. The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24796 you found only fits the Nissan Maxima produced for 2009-2022.
I recommend installing the 4-Way # 56022 when you install the receiver. This is the connector used on small trailers you might tow and will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessory which impairs the view of your tail lights.
