Question:
Hello, I have a 2006 Keystone Laredo and I am looking for an upgrade to out ac. It works but will get 80 on 100 degree day. Any suggestions? If I need to replace he unit what do you recommend? Would any of them with a heat pump work with existing thermostat? If not how hard is it to put in the thermostat nd does it come with. Thank you

The Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ACDOM150 you were looking at would only be the rooftop unit, which you could use to replace your current unit and maintain use of the AC components already in your trailer. I do want to note that none of the units we currently offer have a heat pump option. If you remove the cover of the air distribution box you should see the controller and a wire harness hanging down from the rooftop unit that's plugged into the controller. This plug can either be a 6-pinor 9-pin, if you have a 9-pin connection you'll need to pick up an adapter # ACCOLKIT as well.
If you're wanting to completely replace the system entirely then I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White # FR55PV. This would come with a wall mounted thermostat that requires 4 wires to communicate with the controller. You could reuse the wires you currently have in place to avoid having to run any unless you have less than 4, in which case you'll need to run additional wires. This system does have an optional heat strip # FR27PR instead of a heat pump option.
I've attached installation videos for both systems below to help walk you through the process step by step.
