How do I know if my dealer can install a class three without voiding the warranty?

If your dealer is doing the trailer hitch installation then prior to having it installed you could ask them. Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
I have included a link to a video showing an installation of the hitch for you to view as well as a link to the installation instructions. If you plan on doing some towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # C59236. The dealer may also have a wiring option.
