Have a cover on my 2016 Silverado. It was working just fine a while ago but now it sometimes doesnt open. Usually closes ok. When I press the button to open it, I hear it engage, but it does not open.

If your Pace Edwards Bedlocker Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-M-BLFA18A44 is having a hard time opening there could be a few possible things to check:
The first one being the railing, try to manually move your cover in and out of the canister. If it's binding up you could have some debris in the rails that you'll need to clean out and then re-lubricate with some # RM-747 to allow the cover to slide properly.
The next thing to check would be the wiring. There's a wire harness that runs from the driver side of the canister over to the battery. The harness is typically ran underneath the vehicle and over to the engine compartment, leaving it exposed to the elements and the possibility that it could've gotten damaged. You'll want to also check your connections at the power and ground and at the fuse holder. If you have a loose connection then you could intermittently lose power.

Kevin-I install accessories for a living(43 years) I installed a Pace Edwards ultragroove and the teeth arent catching-If I push down on top of box it does, but not otherwise. I can open and close it with 1 finger so I know its not binding- This guy paid $3,000 installed and is more than upset-any suggestions-I have some videos if you have an email to forward to. Thanking you in advance for your help with this-Unit is 4 months old...
