To add a 7-way wiring harness to a 2012 Chevy Traverse with the factory towing package you will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package item # 22111. This harness is custom fit and plugs into existing wiring which is located behind your tail lights and then another plug behind your muffler.

Part number 118271 is the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118271 and it fits the 2013 - 2017 Traverse's. The connectors are different on the 2012 so this won't work for you.
