Hello- I am looking at buying a weight distribution hitch. I am thinking of buying an RV with about 300-500 lbs tongue weight. I have a much heavier livestock trailer. Can I get a heavier system and use it on a much lighter trailer? I want the system mostly for RV longer drives in windy areas but would also like to use it for heavier trailer. Thanks

I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600. The e2 integrates sway control into the spring bars so there is no additional bar to remove when backing up or maneuvering your camper. This system is rated for 200-600lbs of tongue weight and a trailer up to 6,000lbs. For your livestock trailer we have the following sets of bars you can use depending on your trailer tongue weight.
400-800LB Spring Bars # FA92-01-0899
600-1,000LB Spring Bars # FA92-01-1099
800-1,200LB Spring Bars # FA92-01-1299
You will need a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100 and 2 of the Sway-Control Brackets # EQ95-01-5600. The additional brackets mean you will not have to move them from trailer to trailer.
