Troubleshooting Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller n.c. Error In Urban Areas
Published 04/13/2023 >
Question:
Regarding the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Brake Controller - after 6 years of no issues, we have experienced intermittent n.c.inch flashing in urban areas. No problems out on open road. Could this possibly interference with the bluetooth signal? Working on thorough cleaning of 7 way plug now to eliminate any corrosion/dust issues on connectors. Thanks for any thoughts.

If you were having a communication issues between the in cab controller and the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Brake Controller # TK94FR you would get either a c.E. error or P.A for the controller trying to pair. The n.c. error is will only appear if the is a connection issue on the trailer. This error could be with either connector or the wiring/brakes on your trailer. It is strange you only notice the issue in urban areas but may be due to roads in urban areas are often more damaged than your open country roads. So it may be a case of shock transfer messing with a connector or shorting the wiring.
