Question:
looking to tow no more than 4000 pounds with a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with the 4.0L in line six? What do I need to make it go?

Expert Reply:
I looked up the towing capacity of your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 liter and it can tow up to 5,000 lbs. So a 4,000 lb trailer wouldn't be a problem at all. So for a hitch the Draw Tite part # 75139 would be a great option. It installs easily and has more than enough capacity. Then for trailer wiring the Tekonsha part # 118369 is very reliable and installs easily. Then for a ball mount with a 2 inch ball you'd need the part # C45134 and you'd be set.
