According to the Rhino Rack installation instructions, for the # DK188 clamps, the front cross bar should be installed 25 cm, or 9-37/32 inches forward of the door seam between front and rear door. Then the rear crossbar will be installed 80 cm or 31-1/2 inches behind the front cross bar.

These installation measurements are confirmed for 2008 to 2014 Ford Flex that use the # DK188 Custom Clamps. I have included photo showing these dimensions for your reference, and have provided a link to these installation instructions for your reference.
