With your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5-3/4' short bed there are a couple options. If the 5th wheel you are towing has a pivoting pin box like the Reese Sidewinder # RP77FR then you can use a Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 with the Installation Kit # RP56015-53. Otherwise you will need the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550040 with Installation Kit # DM8552034-71. The Demco slides back up to 22-1/2" ensuring you do not hit the front of the 5th wheel on the cab of your truck while turning. Depending on your pin box you may also need a locking plate to prevent the pin box from spinning on the hitch. The Reese Slider # RP30048 you found does not provide enough clearance to make complete turns as it only moves back 10".

The 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070 will allow you to install a 7-way inside your bed helping to reduce damage to the wiring from being stretched to the bumper connector.
