It sounds like you are installing a 7-way and/or brake controller on your 1997 GMC Sierra K1500 pickup. The orange wire will connect to one of the 2 posts at the rear(closest to fire wall) of the engine compartment fuse panel. The other post is for the trailer brake controller. The blue wire does not connect to the fuse box but is the output wire from the trailer brake controller. I have included a video below which shows installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 with our Installation Kit # ETBC7 on a 1997 Chevrolet pickup.
