Does Power Watchdog HU27FR Work with 110 or 220 Volts
Published 02/06/2023 >
Question:
Dies the 50 amp model check across L1 and L2 to assure that it is 220vac instead of 110vac? There are a few RV parks that cheat on the 50A receptacle by connecting L1 and L2 together rather than being a split phase. My RV needs the 220vac the L1 and L2 proved as well as 110vac from L1 to neutral and 110vac from L2 and neutral. Therefore, I need a surge protector that checks for that as well.

Actually the WatchDog # HU27FR is for 120 volt applications. If the voltage is above 132 it will cut power. The 50 amp service at RV parts is actually 120 volt and not the same as in a house.
